Mandate to help entrepreneurs design strong business models as the engine fueling their urban solutions. The Business Lead builds a bridge between business and technology, supports the startups with their profit generation goals, and exposes them to a broad variety of emerging business models. The Lead keeps an eye out for innovative revenue models and help get our startups’ solutions to market.
01 Cohort Startup Support
- Business Models: Support our startups on their business models and strategies, including identifying the market, value proposition, customers and revenue model.
- Solutions: Help our startups develop their MVPs and help them scale the technology.
- Partnerships: Open key partnerships that support strategic and operational goals.
- Go-To-Market: Co-design go-to-market strategy with entrepreneurs.
- Customer Discovery: Design strategies to identify and tap into customer channels.
- Revenue: Help entrepreneurs develop sales tactics, generate leads and design customer onboarding processes.
- Resources: Co-build local, regional and global network of entrepreneurs, companies and resources linked to promising business models.
- Fundraising: Support entrepreneurs to craft and adapt pitches and funding applications.
02 Platform Operations
- Model Models: Design the platform’s programmatic approach for urban-tech business models, and co-design overall program.
- Product-Market Fit: Research, update, and build database and templates for relevant PMF strategies.
- Collaborations: Find access to tools and services in the Kathmandu ecosystem and beyond. Build relationships with relevant actors as potential program contributors, service providers and/or partners.
- Funding: Keep a pulse on emerging opportunities for funding our portfolio of startups.
- Market: Keep a pulse on local to global market trends, including industry insights, emerging/proven models, evolving customer channels and preferences and tech integration.
- Network: Work with the Community Manager to build relationships with potential funders, including investors, funds and grantors.
- Process: Lead on sharing and documenting our venture strategy, models and scaling processes.
